James Marshall Hendrix or Jimi Hendrix as he was popularly known (November 27, 1942 – September 18, 1970) was an American guitarist, singer and songwriter whose guitar playing continues to be a considerable influence on rock music.

One of the iconic characters of the 1969 Woodstock Festival, Jimi Hendrix was a cult figure during and after his lifetime. This repousse in aluminium of a caricature of the legend is a tribute to this great musician.
